I am an artist and designer who's interest is in craft and image making.
I use camera, images and objects and work to express the "mundane" as 'fantastic'. Baudrillard's "Hyperreal" and Hal Foster's idea that sight or visuality are a social act instead of a physical operation.* are guiding influences.
Characters and stories are parts of my work and I try to involve them as much as possible although they do get lost at times in the milieu and fog of image making. Shine a light and they soon find their way home.
Recent completed work includes artwork for new album Fordlandia and a chapter in a new book.
I currently live in London. I used to live in Tokyo.
